2025 Thanksgiving Schedule Overview:
- Monday, Nov 24: Poultry results will be reported as usual.
- Tuesday, Nov 25: Cattle, Goat, and Sheep Biosecurity serological blood testing as usual.
- Wednesday, Nov 26:
- No PCR results will be reported.
- PCR reports will resume Wednesday, Dec 3.
- The lab will still be open to receive samples.
- Thursday–Friday, Nov 27–28: Lab closed for Thanksgiving.
- Swine test reports will be released the following week, by Thursday, Dec 4
- Pregnancy test reports will be released the following week, by Friday, Dec 5
- The lab will not be able to receive samples on Thursday or Friday.
- Monday, Dec 1: Normal operations resume.
Remainder:
Please do not ship or send samples expected to arrive on Nov 27–28, as the lab will be closed and samples cannot be received during this time.
No need to worry if you collect blood samples shortly before Thanksgiving!
If you draw blood a few days before the holiday and can’t ship it in time for arrival by Wednesday, Nov 26, we recommend keeping the samples refrigerated and mailing them starting Friday, Nov 28, so they can arrive when the lab reopens on Monday, Dec 1.
